Nicola's Fundraising Appeal....
Nicola is a very dear close friend, the nicest person you could meet with a 20 month old little boy called Cal. She is battling Stage 4 cancer so that she can stay alive to see her little boy grow up. Nicola is an exceptionally private person and it was a massive decision for her to make her appeal public just before Christmas on social media, radio and in the National Newspapers in order to raise funds to have pioneering and life saving treatment in Thailand. In the 6 weeks since the GoFundMe page has been set up 77,000 Cent of the 200,000 cent target has been raised through the generosity of the general public. In addition to this we are also planning and running a number of fundraising events to achieve the target and any support that could provide would be gratefully appreciated.
On the 14th December Nicola made the heart wrenching decision to leave her little boy and all her family and friends to travel alone to Thailand to start her treatment. She made this short video when leaving Dublin to thank her supporters
Nicola is now 3 weeks into a 12 week treatment program, In order for her to complete this life saving treatment in full we still need to reach the 200,000 cent target as quickly as possible.
